About Your Public School Staff UnionWe, the members of BCAE, are public school professionals in Buncombe County who are committed to building a fighting labor union that defends and transforms public education in our state, and do hereby declare this association to have the following purposes:- To defend the collective interests of education workers and advance the struggle for public education systems that serves the students, families, and public school staff-To win, expand, and defend public employees’ right to collective bargaining-To promote racial, economic, and social justice in order to achieve educational justice and build community and labor coalitions to achieve that objective-To unite, organize, and empower a network of public school workers who are leaders in their unions, schools, and communities.-We, the members of the Buncombe County Association of Educators, do establish this Constitution and do pledge ourselves to carry out the provisions thereof.
